William Woods University, located in Fulton, Missouri, is a private, coeducational liberal arts college with a history dating back to its founding in 1870. The campus showcases a blend of traditional and modern architecture set in a small-town atmosphere. Positioned midpoint between St. Louis and Kansas City, William Woods offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and online degree programs, with particular emphasis on equestrian studies, ASL interpretation, and a strong education department. While the university maintains an inclusive admissions policy, it has a solid reputation for its academic rigor and personalized attention afforded by a low student-to-faculty ratio. On-campus housing is available, supporting resident students throughout their academic careers. William Woods University also offers NAIA intercollegiate athletics, with its teams known as the Owls, although it is primarily recognized for academic rather than athletic prowess.
