Culver-Stockton College, founded in 1853 and affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), stands atop a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River in Canton, Missouri, approximately two hours drive north of St. Louis. This private, liberal arts college is characterized by its expansive vistas, historic buildings reflecting a blend of traditional architecture, and a commitment to innovative, experience-based learning within its academic programs. Notably, it offers a distinctive 12/3 semester plan, allowing for an intense three-week term devoted to a single class or experiential learning opportunity. The college features a moderately selective admissions process and provides a range of undergraduate programs, with Business, Nursing, and Education among the more popular majors. On-campus living is integral to student life at Culver-Stockton, with a variety of housing options available to students.
