Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College's main campus is located in rural Perkinston, Mississippi, approximately 30 miles north of the Gulf Coast and the city of Gulfport. The original Perkinston campus, established in 1912 as Harrison-Stone Agricultural High School, evolved into one of Mississippi's first public two-year colleges and now serves as the flagship location among MGCCC's multiple campuses across the coastal region. The 350-acre wooded campus features traditional brick buildings and modern academic facilities, with on-campus housing available in several residence halls. MGCCC offers comprehensive transfer programs designed for students continuing to four-year universities, as well as career and technical programs, with particular strength in nursing, process operations technology, and industrial trades. The college competes in the NJCAA Division II athletics, with baseball and football among its notable sports programs.
