St. Catherine University, commonly referred to as St. Kate's, is a private Catholic liberal arts university in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Established in 1905 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Kate's is the largest comprehensive university for women in the United States, though it offers a range of coeducational programs. The university?s academic profile includes diverse undergraduate programs with an emphasis on healthcare, social work, and education, reflecting its history in nursing and its status as a leader in the education of healthcare professionals.
