West Shore Community College (WSCC), located in Scottville, Michigan, is a public two-year institution nestled on a 360-acre rural campus about 20 minutes south of Manistee and within proximity to the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Founded in 1967, WSCC offers a variety of academic programs, with a noteworthy emphasis on associate degrees and certificates in areas such as nursing, business, manufacturing and technology, and the arts and sciences. While the college maintains an open admissions policy, some programs may have additional requirements. The college environment is characterized by its modern architectural facilities, including the Technical Center and the Riemer Regional Public Safety Training Center. Although WSCC primarily serves as a commuter college, it collaborates with local housing options to support students who require accommodations. Student engagement is present through various clubs and service-learning experiences; however, WSCC is not traditionally recognized for a robust intercollegiate athletics program.
West Shore Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student. 237 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 755 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $4,320 plus fees of $450.
