If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to Marygrove College?
Is it one or many? Born in Detroit, I have remained a long time resident of one of the greatest cities in America. Using the GI Bill I attended Marygrove College, which was recommended by both family and friends as one of the best colleges to obtain an overall diverse education. I finally started taking my mandated classes, one which related to American history. Most of us will never forget the instructor demanding each night to be addressed as "Ms not Miss!". One night she excited the class with "George (Washington), a slave owner who created the all white governement that continues to enslave your family today!" That night I was attacked fellow students, who quoted the instructors rhetoric. I never returned to college for two years, and eventually graduated from Macomb Community. You see the same angry prejudice on many faculty faces today, prioritizing their own agenda, citing their rights under the First Amendment to do so. What about the students? The parents?
