Middlesex Community College operates from two primary campuses located in Bedford and Lowell, Massachusetts, with the Bedford location situated on a former estate approximately 15 miles northwest of Boston. The Bedford campus features historic manor houses and modern academic buildings spread across 200 acres of suburban grounds, while the Lowell campus occupies several buildings in the city's downtown area. Established in 1970, MCC serves as one of the largest community colleges in Massachusetts, offering more than 70 degree and certificate programs with particular strengths in health sciences, business administration, and liberal arts transfer programs. The college maintains an open enrollment policy consistent with its mission as a public two-year institution, and while primarily a commuter school, it provides comprehensive student support services at both campus locations.
