Greenfield Community College (GCC), located in Greenfield, Massachusetts, serves as an accessible institution for higher learning in the Pioneer Valley, near the cultural hub of Northampton and approximately 90 miles from Boston. Established in 1962, this public two-year community college offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs, with notable emphasis on Liberal Arts, Business and Information Technology, Health Occupations, and Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency. While GCC maintains an open admissions policy, reflecting a broadly inclusive approach, the focus remains on a student-centered educational environment. The campus features a contemporary architectural style that complements its rural setting. Although GCC does not provide on-campus housing, it fosters a network of off-campus housing opportunities for students.
