Hagerstown Community College, established in 1946 as Maryland's first community college, is located in Hagerstown, Maryland, approximately 75 miles northwest of Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The 319-acre suburban campus features modern academic buildings, including the STEM Building and Learning Center, surrounded by rolling hills and open spaces. The college offers more than 100 programs of study, with notable strengths in nursing, cybersecurity, and industrial technology. HCC maintains transfer agreements with numerous four-year institutions in Maryland and neighboring states, while also providing career and workforce development programs that serve the needs of the Western Maryland region. The campus includes state-of-the-art facilities such as the Technical Innovation Center, which supports local business development, and the Athletic, Recreation and Community Center (ARCC), which houses the college's athletic programs.
