Husson University

Husson University is located in Bangor, Maine's third-largest city, situated approximately 140 miles north of Portland. The 208-acre suburban campus features a mix of modern academic buildings and traditional New England architecture, with recent expansions including the Wellness Learning Center and the Beardsley Meeting House. Originally established in 1898 as the Shaw School of Business, Husson evolved into a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and graduate programs, with particular strengths in nursing, physical therapy, business, and criminal justice. The university maintains a teaching-focused approach with smaller class sizes, and most students live in one of the six residential communities on campus. Husson competes in NCAA Division III athletics as the Eagles, participating in the North Atlantic Conference.
