Tulane Test Policy

Test Submission Requirements

Tulane University of Louisiana remains test-optional for Fall 2027 first-year admission (2026-27 cycle), and SAT or ACT scores are not required for general admission. Tulane encourages students with a 1300 SAT or 28 ACT to submit scores and treats testing, AP, IB, or Cambridge results as a preferred credential for academic merit scholarships. SAT Essay, ACT Writing, and ACT Science are optional; Tulane superscores both exams. Applicants may self-report scores and must send official reports after enrolling. SAT or ACT scores are required only for the invitation-only Pathways to Medicine program.
