New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) is situated in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana, approximately five miles from the French Quarter. Established in 1917 as Baptist Bible Institute, NOBTS operates as an accredited graduate-level institution of the Southern Baptist Convention on a Spanish Colonial-style campus spanning 85 acres. The seminary specializes in theological education, pastoral ministry training, and biblical studies, offering both master's and doctoral programs through its Leavell College. The campus features student housing options including apartments and dormitories for both single students and families, with many seminary buildings having been restored following extensive damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
