Union College is a private institution founded in 1879, nestled in the small town of Barbourville, Kentucky, approximately 20 miles from Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. The college, true to its Appalachian roots, boasts a scenic campus characterized by modest yet functional architecture set amidst the rolling hills and natural beauty of the region. Union College offers a variety of academic programs with particular emphasis on majors in business, nursing, and education. It has an open admissions policy, making it accessible to a broad range of applicants. The campus includes facilities for on-campus living, providing residential halls for students who opt to immerse themselves in the college's academic environment. Although the college is less noted for its athletic prowess, it provides an array of sports activities and teams, known as the Union Bulldogs, for student participation and development.
