Kentucky Christian University (KCU) is a private Christian institution situated in the rural town of Grayson in northeastern Kentucky, approximately 30 miles west of the West Virginia border. Established in 1919 as Christian Normal Institute, the university maintains its affiliation with the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ while offering both undergraduate and graduate programs. The 121-acre campus features traditional brick buildings centered around a main quad, with academic programs focusing primarily on ministry, education, nursing, and business. KCU operates as a residential campus with several dormitories for its student population, and competes in the NAIA Division II as the Knights, primarily in basketball and other select sports.
