Jefferson Community and Technical College

Jefferson Community and Technical College serves the greater Louisville metropolitan area with its main campus located in downtown Louisville and five additional branch campuses throughout Jefferson County. The downtown campus occupies several city blocks and consists of modern classroom buildings and technical training facilities integrated into the urban landscape. Founded in 1937 as a vocational school, the institution merged with Jefferson Community College in 2005 to become part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. The college offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates across technical, healthcare, business, and liberal arts programs, with particular emphasis on workforce development in manufacturing, allied health, and information technology. Students can access on-campus resources including computer labs, technical training facilities, and a library system connected to other Kentucky higher education institutions.
