Wartburg College is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, located in Waverly, Iowa. Established in 1852, the college sits on a 118-acre campus distinguished by its blend of Gothic and contemporary architectural styles. Wartburg offers more than 50 academic majors with notable programs in music, science, and business. This residential college maintains a range of housing options for students, including traditional dormitories, suite-style living, and apartment-style accommodations. Wartburg's setting in the northeast Iowa town of Waverly provides a small-town atmosphere, while being within close proximity to the Cedar Falls-Waterloo metropolitan area. The college operates on a selective admissions policy. While not widely recognized for its athletic programs, Wartburg participates in NCAA Division III as a member of the American Rivers Conference.
