Southeastern Community College

Southeastern Community College (SCC) occupies a rural 180-acre campus in West Burlington, Iowa, approximately 75 miles southeast of Iowa City. The public two-year institution, established in 1920, serves students from Des Moines, Henry, and Lee counties through its main campus and a satellite center in Keokuk. SCC offers career-technical programs and transfer degrees, with notable strengths in nursing, industrial technology, and business administration. The campus features modern technical training facilities, including specialized health sciences laboratories and an industrial technology center, while student housing is available through two on-campus apartment complexes. The college competes in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference as the Blackhawks, fielding teams in basketball, baseball, and softball.
