The campus, established in 1974 on the former grounds of Parsons College, features a mix of historic and modern buildings, including distinctive gold-domed meditation halls that reflect the university's foundation in Transcendental Meditation practices. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs with particular emphasis on sustainable living, computer science, and consciousness-based education, integrating meditation practices into its academic curriculum.
