Grand View University, a private liberal arts institution affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is situated in Des Moines, Iowa's capital city. The 50-acre urban campus is located in the city's east side neighborhood, combining historic buildings with modern academic facilities. Founded in 1896 by Danish immigrants, Grand View maintains selective admission standards and offers undergraduate programs across more than 40 areas of study, with particular emphasis on nursing, business, education, and athletic training.
