Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, founded in 1840, is a private Catholic liberal arts college located in Saint Mary of the Woods, Indiana, just northwest of Terre Haute. As the oldest Catholic college in Indiana, it has a longstanding tradition of providing a comprehensive education that emphasizes leadership and service. The campus is characterized by its historic architecture, primarily in the French Gothic Revival style, and is nestled within a serene, wooded landscape fostering a tranquil academic environment. The college offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, with particular recognition for its equine studies, music therapy, and education programs.
