Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC), based in Belleville, Illinois, is a public community college offering a diverse range of academic programs with a history dating back to its establishment in 1946. Located within the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area, approximately 20 miles from downtown St. Louis, Missouri, SWIC provides a commuter-friendly campus environment, with no on-campus student housing available. The campus is characterized by modern architectural elements and facilities designed to support vocational training, technical courses, and transfer education. The college features an open admissions policy, catering to a wide demographic of students seeking associate degrees or vocational certificates.
