Student and Parent Reviews
If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to Joliet Junior College?
Former Student
Absolutely terrible college. The professors will never help. They will tell you to just read your book and will spend half the time lecturing students about how ?you are in college now and you?re not acting like adults when you get to a university they won?t accept how you are.? They are overpaid Highschool teachers who don?t care for their job or students. Good luck if you?re someone who has a disability they will treat you worse. I had a professor due a COVID (a bio teacher) who made fun of me in one of his lecture videos because I didn?t understand the assignment even when I asked for help. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else.
Alumnus
Overall, the worse experience I ever had at a college campus. The students were very racial and they would constantly make abhorrent remarks about people from South Asia and would try to intimidate you in groups by staring at you constantly. Not only that, but some of the faculty were very racist as well and none took action when racial remarks were thrown at me in class. Overall, I would not recommend this school for South Asians.
