Kennedy-King College, one of the seven City Colleges of Chicago, is located in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. The institution, named after civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and President John F. Kennedy, operates from a modern campus that was completely rebuilt in 2007 to serve its urban student population. The college provides two-year associate degrees and certificate programs, with particular emphasis on culinary arts through its Washburne Culinary & Hospitality Institute, as well as programs in media communications, construction technology, and allied health fields. Kennedy-King maintains an open-admission policy consistent with its mission as a public community college, and most students attend part-time while working or managing other responsibilities. The campus features state-of-the-art facilities including a teaching restaurant, broadcast studios, and WKKC, a student-operated radio station that serves the Chicago area.

City Colleges of Chicago Kennedy King College is designated as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and receives federal grants supporting the school's efforts to serve low and middle-income Black Americans.
