Overview

North Idaho College (NIC), located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is a public community college providing a range of academic programs and degrees to its student body. Founded in 1933, the college sits on a scenic campus along the north shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, offering a picturesque setting that complements its educational environment. NIC is characterized by a generally open admissions policy, welcoming a diverse array of students each academic term. The college is recognized for its strong programs in nursing, business, and outdoor leadership, catering to both traditional and non-traditional students. Additionally, North Idaho College does provide student housing options, which includes residence halls for learners who opt to live on campus. North Idaho College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,616 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 2,680 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $4,000 plus fees of $960.
