Overview

Kauai Community College, located in Lihue, Hawaii, is a public community college situated on the picturesque island of Kauai, the northernmost of the Hawaiian main islands. Established in 1965, the institution provides residents of the island and beyond with accessible higher education opportunities, vocational training, and career and technical education. The campus exudes a tranquil, tropical atmosphere, framed by the natural beauty that characterizes its island setting, and while it does not offer on-campus student housing, the local area provides a range of living options for students. Academically, Kauai Community College is best known for its programs in culinary arts and tropical agriculture, reflecting and serving the region's unique ecological and cultural context. Kauai Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  237 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,071 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $3,144 plus fees of $108.
