Honolulu Community College (HCC) is a public, two-year institution established in 1920, located in the urban setting of Honolulu, Hawaii, a short distance from downtown Honolulu and the famed Waikiki Beach. The campus, primarily characterized by modern architectural styles, provides vocational and technical programs with a strong emphasis on the trades. HCC is known for its programs in Aeronautics Maintenance Technology, Automotive Technology, and Hawaiian Studies, among others, catering to a diverse student population. There is no on-campus housing available, so students find accommodation in the surrounding city. While the college maintains an open admissions policy, certain programs may have additional entry requirements. HCC does not have a significant focus on intercollegiate athletics.

Honolulu Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  820 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 2,249 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $3,144 plus fees of $30.
