If you are someone who likes a smaller school, and can find ways to easily entertain yourself, YHC is perfect. The party scene is decent if you know where to look. I never pictured myself as a Frat guy, but I would definitely recommend rushing if you come here. Academics are painfully average, except for the division of fine arts which, in my opinion, is one of if not the best in the state.

As for the party life in young harris I think it is best to say that it is a hidden gem... while no there isn't frat houses and lawn rangers YHC makes up for this in bitchn' cabin/house parties thrown by the fraternities and sororities on campus. In particular the national frat phi sigma kappa has thrown some of the biggest parties in yhc history but there is something to be said about the locals as well. KTO, a local fraternity, thrones their annual "gatlinburg" or as its affectionately known "trashlinburg" which is a more sloppy animal house esk and definitely not getting the deposit back kind of party. As for the sororities on campus they throw parties at a minimal rate gamma psi throwing the better of the lot. While gamma psi's parties are better than the other sorority parties, or lack there of, they tend to always be closed and invite only.

If you want a small college go here. If you want to have a good college experience don't go here. It is a very small school with nothing much to do. You will find yourself leaving every weekend.
