Waycross College, which operated from 1976 to 2013 in Waycross, Georgia, served as a two-year public institution before merging with South Georgia College to form South Georgia State College. Located in the southeastern region of Georgia approximately 75 miles from the Atlantic coast, the former campus occupied 150 acres of pine forest land. The campus facilities included traditional classroom buildings, a technology center, and educational support spaces that primarily served commuter students from the surrounding rural communities. Prior to its merger, the college focused on associate degree programs in business, nursing, and general studies, preparing students for transfer to four-year institutions or entry into the workforce. The former Waycross College campus now operates as the Waycross campus of South Georgia State College, continuing to provide higher education access to the region.
