South Georgia State College (SGSC), a state-supported, four-year residential institution, is located in Douglas, Georgia, a small city approximately 200 miles southeast of Atlanta. Established in 1906, the college offers a range of associate and select baccalaureate degree programs, with a historical emphasis on providing a strong foundation in liberal arts. The campus merges traditional southern architecture with modern facilities, including on-campus housing options for students who prefer the immersive college experience. SGSC is characterized by its open admission policy, attracting a diverse student body with various academic interests, although select programs may have additional requirements.
