Overview

Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC), established in 2011 through the merger of Sandersville Technical College and Heart of Georgia Technical College, is a public institution situated in Sandersville, Georgia. The college sits approximately 120 miles southeast of Atlanta, delivering a diverse range of vocational and technical education in fields such as allied health, business technology, and computer systems. OFTC operates on an open admissions policy, facilitating broad access to postsecondary education for its applicants. The college's main campus hosts a suite of contemporary facilities designed to support hands-on learning and technical training. While OFTC does not provide on-campus housing, it serves a substantial commuter population. Academically, the college is particularly noted for its specialized programs in nursing and commercial truck driving. OFTC does not have a prominent intercollegiate athletic program, focusing instead on academic and technical preparation for workforce entry or advancement.

Oconee Fall Line Technical College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  327 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,492 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $2,400 plus fees of $672.

Oconee Fall Line Technical College is designated as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and receives federal grants supporting the school's efforts to serve low and middle-income Black Americans.
