Middle Georgia State University, formerly known as Middle Georgia College, is a public institution located in Cochran, Georgia, situated approximately 40 miles southeast of Macon. Established in 1884, it operates as a multi-campus university offering a variety of undergraduate programs. While the university presents a moderately selective admissions process, it maintains an open-access mission for many of its programs. The Cochran campus, one of five locations, is characterized by a traditional collegiate aesthetic with facilities that support student housing.
