Dalton State College

Dalton State College, established in 1963, is a public institution located in Dalton, Georgia, approximately 90 miles north of Atlanta in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 146-acre suburban campus serves as a significant educational center for Northwest Georgia, featuring a mix of modern and traditional academic buildings alongside recreational facilities. The college offers associate and bachelor's degree programs, with particular emphasis in business, education, health professions, and social work. As a primarily commuter campus, Dalton State maintains one residential facility, Mashburn Hall, which houses a portion of the student population. The institution competes in the NAIA's Southern States Athletic Conference as the Roadrunners, participating in multiple varsity sports including basketball, soccer, and cross country.
