Augusta University

Augusta University, located in Augusta, Georgia along the Savannah River, serves as the state's primary public academic medical center. The institution operates across multiple campuses in the Augusta metropolitan area, with the Health Sciences campus housing the Medical College of Georgia, the state's only public medical school. Formed through the 2013 consolidation of Augusta State University and Georgia Health Sciences University, the university maintains a comprehensive academic program with particular strengths in health sciences, cybersecurity, and business.
