USF Main Campus Test Policy

Test Submission Requirements

The University of South Florida requires freshman applicants to submit official SAT, ACT, or Classic Learning Test (CLT) scores for the 2026-27 cycle. Scores must come directly from the testing agency; USF will not accept scores from the Common App, a counselor, or a PDF screenshot. USF superscores by using the highest SAT, ACT, or CLT section scores across test dates and does not require or consider the SAT Essay or ACT writing section. Applicants for summer or fall should take an exam before December so scores arrive in time. Students earning a Florida A.A. degree with their high school diploma may be reviewed under Board of Governors regulation 6.005 without scores.
