Saint Leo University, located in the town of Saint Leo in central Florida approximately 35 miles north of Tampa, operates from a main campus situated on rolling hills in a suburban setting. Founded in 1889 by the Order of Saint Benedict of Florida, it maintains its Catholic Benedictine tradition as the oldest Catholic institution of higher learning in Florida.
