FIU Test Policy

Test Submission Requirements

Florida International University requires first-year applicants to submit SAT, ACT, or Classic Learning Test (CLT) scores for the 2026-27 cycle, including Fall 2027. FIU cites Florida Board of Governors regulation 6.002. Official SAT and ACT scores must come from the testing agency or a high school transcript, and CLT scores from cltexam.com; scores received after the deadline are not considered for admission or scholarships. FIU does not require the ACT Science section; the ACT composite or super-score used for admission includes only English, mathematics, and reading. The only test-optional path is for students who complete an A.A. degree from a Florida state college or university while in high school.
