The atmosphere is nice and housing is alright. I never had an issue with bugs and SOVI was alright at best. The campus is small and it was very easy to get around. However, I only had maybe one or two good professors here. English professors did not really teach. Math professors were awful. You get a lot of free stuff on campus, which is a plus. The bus to target made it easier for me to get groceries as I do not have a car. However, there was a LOT of crime. Heard constantly about sorority girls getting assaulted and roofied. Someone in my hall was raped and a personal friend of mine was drugged at a party. I ended up transferring to UCF during my second year and I prefer it much more than FGCU. Go to FGCU if you haven?t gotten in anywhere else and transfer to UCF when you get better grades ASAP.

This school is not for low-income students, sorry. Let the upper middle class kids have this school. The academics are okay; The STEM professors are so strict and extra for no reason. On-camous housing is bad; it's expensive yet ugly at sovi and worn down and ugly at north lake. Unless you are part of housing program, don't live on campus. Housing, cashiers, bursars, and registrars office are incompetent and not useful in any situation. This is not a party school. This school will be great for nursing majors and majors that revolve around the environment.

FGCU has a beautiful campus and atmosphere. The students are very easy to get along with and teachers are willing to help students during their office hours and make time for them to help them however they can. I definitely recommend this school.
