University of the People (UoPeople), headquartered in Pasadena, California, is an online-only, tuition-free institution founded in 2009 as one of the first non-profit, accredited online universities. The university operates through a digital learning platform, offering undergraduate and graduate programs primarily in business administration, computer science, health science, and education. UoPeople employs a distance learning model that allows students from across the globe to access higher education, with course materials and instruction delivered entirely online through asynchronous learning methods.
