The University of California-Davis (UC Davis) is a public institution established in 1905 as a farm school for the University of California, Berkeley. Located in the city of Davis, just 15 miles west of Sacramento and approximately 72 miles northeast of San Francisco, its campus spans over 5,300 acres, making it the largest campus in the UC system by land area.
