Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) occupies a 74-acre coastal campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Santa Barbara, California, located 90 miles north of Los Angeles. The Spanish-Mediterranean style campus, established in 1909, is situated on a hillside that provides panoramic views of the Santa Barbara Channel and Channel Islands. SBCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs, with notable strengths in marine biology, film and television production, and culinary arts. The college maintains transfer agreements with the University of California and California State University systems, serving as a key pathway for students pursuing four-year degrees. While primarily a commuter campus, SBCC assists students with off-campus housing options in the surrounding Santa Barbara area.
