I love this university - especially my interactions with my teachers and leadership. They are all so accessible. I have a friend who went to a UC nearby, and they say they have never seen nor heard from the President or Dean of their school. I have personally interacted with both at lunch and walking down the halls. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The support I've received definitely helps me succeed in class. Now for the not-so-good. This is not a party school. There are things to do, but just not a lot. It is expensive, but my teachers tell me that students here earn more than most others in the Bay Area. The food is excellent but gets repetitive. The housing is old and needs a remodel. The campus is quiet and in the middle of a neighborhood (big mansions). I feel entirely safe here, and most students feel the same. It's a great place to come, get a degree, and then move on.

My overall experience of DUC is that I wish I would've attended a different university. The faculty are knowledgeable, specially in the biology department. They actually care about you learning and making it in the field. Staff on the other hand, are rude, unprofessional and act as if they hate their job. The quality of education is not worth the money you pay. The library has been closed for 7 months now and there aren't enough spaces to study. Don't waste your time, energy and/or money.
