If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to Columbia College Hollywood?
As an alumni, I look back on my student debt, and what I actually received in return - Here is what they don't tell you: When you graduate from film school, expect to "pay your dues." Especially if your direction is in production. That is - your going to work for FREE, for quite a bit. The admin is of zero use when it comes to job placement for a number of reasons: 1. Most professionals in the business take an extremely narrow view of "film school grads." It actually worked against me, as I soon discovered they generally scoffed at my supposed "education." And they were right... I learned more on set, then I ever did from CCH. 2. They (Admin.) are only too happy to take your money, but offer very little support once you graduate. And if your like most people, you don't have rich parents, so you go into debt. Try 60k + for a degree that means literally nothing in the industry. The industry respects people THEY KNOW, and abhors newbies - hence the "work for free" aspect,
