College of Marin

The College of Marin operates two campuses in Marin County, California, with its main campus situated in Kentfield, approximately 15 miles north of San Francisco. Located at the base of Mount Tamalpais, the 333-acre Kentfield campus features modernized academic facilities and recently renovated science and performing arts buildings following a major capital improvement project. As a public community college established in 1926, COM provides associate degrees, certificates, and transfer programs to four-year institutions. The college maintains a comprehensive curriculum with notable programs in nursing, dental assisting, biological sciences, and performing arts, with its drama department operating the historic James Dunn Theatre. Students attend primarily as commuters, as the campus does not provide residential housing, and the institution competes in intercollegiate athletics as a member of the Bay Valley Conference.
