California State University-Chico, located in Chico, California, presents a unique blend of historical and educational heritage. Founded in 1887, it is the second oldest campus in the 23-campus California State University system and is situated about 90 miles north of Sacramento. The campus is distinguished by its consistent use of red brick in Romanesque Revival style architecture, providing a visually cohesive and aesthetically pleasing environment.
