Student and Parent Reviews
If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to University of Arkansas at Monticello?
Current Student
As far as academics go, it?s decent depending on your major and your instructor. They are known for their Forestry and nursing program. I heard how wonderful the faculty were but only had 1 instructor who really taught or cared about his students. They will not work with you if you are ill or have to miss class especially if your an athlete. A lot of the instructors are hard to reach and when they do respond, are not helpful. The worst part is the communication and systems at UAM. Admissions office is horrible! They give misinformation and lose records. All departments are lazy and don't communicate. If you have issues, which you most likely will, get EVERY correspondence in writing if you can (they are horrible to respond and will not take responsibility when the give false information). The housing and food are bad! They have gotten a Chick-fil-A but it?s not great. If your an athlete make sure you talk with other athletes in your sport besides the ones coached of what to say to you.

This is a good for you if you are strictly all about academics.
