Arizona Christian University is a private evangelical Christian institution located in Glendale, Arizona, a suburb in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The campus relocated in 2019 from its original Phoenix location to its current 68-acre campus at the former site of Thunderbird School of Global Management. Founded in 1960 as Southwestern Conservative Baptist Bible College, the university maintains its Christian liberal arts focus while offering undergraduate programs in business, education, behavioral health, and biblical studies. ACU requires students to attend chapel services and complete biblical coursework as part of their degree requirements, and most undergraduate students live in campus housing. The university competes in the NAIA as the Firestorms, transitioning from NCAA Division III in 2012.
