Alabama State University is test-optional for first-year applicants in the 2026-27 admissions cycle. You may decide whether to submit ACT or SAT scores. Applicants with a 2.4 or higher GPA may be admitted without scores, and those with a 2.1 to 2.39 GPA and no scores may be admitted through the Summer Bridge Program. Students admitted without scores must take the Accuplacer placement exam. Academic scholarships are not covered by the test-optional policy and require qualifying test scores.
