North Seattle College, part of the Seattle Colleges District, is located in the Northgate neighborhood of Seattle, approximately seven miles north of downtown. The 62-acre campus, established in 1970, features modern academic buildings set among evergreen trees on a sloped terrain typical of the Pacific Northwest. The college operates as a comprehensive two-year public institution, offering associate degrees, professional certificates, and transfer programs to four-year universities. Notable academic strengths include nursing, business, computer science, and a well-established Watch Technology Institute - one of the few accredited watchmaking programs in the United States. The campus provides limited student housing primarily for international students, while most of the student population commutes from the greater Seattle metropolitan area.
