Columbia Basin College (CBC) is a public community college situated in Pasco, Washington, part of the Tri-Cities metropolitan area in the southeastern region of the state. The main campus occupies 150 acres of land overlooking the Columbia River, with a second campus location in Richland serving the nearby communities. Established in 1955, CBC operates as a comprehensive two-year institution offering associate degrees, professional certificates, and select bachelor's degrees in applied fields. The college maintains strong academic programs in nursing, business, computer science, and nuclear technology, with the latter supporting the region's energy industry needs. CBC primarily serves commuter students from the surrounding Tri-Cities area, though limited student housing options are available at the newly constructed Sunhawk Hall residence facility.
