Does not really have a lot of school pride or great atmosphere, seems like for most students it was not their first choice, but they are here because it is one of the cheaper universities. A lot of programs fly under the radar, it sneaks up that it is a D1 school for sports or Research 1 level institution, and they are merging with a medical school. Depending on the department some of them are fantastic but others are just average. ODU has a lot of programs that are not covered at other universities in Virginia, like Recreational Therapy and Nuclear Medicine.
